The prologue starts with you as a thirteen year old that has been separated from her mother during an attack. You are saved by a red-eyed samurai and reunited with your mother. The story picks up where you awaken from a dream reminiscing about being saved by red-eyed man. You and your mother live with your mean aunt and cousin and are forced to do hard labor everyday. On your way to start your day's chores, you hear the women in your village talking about the handsome samurai fighting against each other. You by chance happen to meet all five that same fated day. A few days later you receive a letter from them...

DETAILED REVIEW
Plot: I'm a huge fan of historical romance, so I am interested to see what the routes will be like and how much history they will incorporate into the stories. I enjoyed how they were able to add elements to historical Japan and put thought into how status was used during that time. The fact that the MC and her mother had to live with a relative due to her father and brother's deaths was a believable plot line.
The MC: She had the typical trait of a Voltage MC: dreamy, slightly oblivious, and courageous. I enjoyed that she was less dense than some of Voltage's past MCs.
Design: From what I understand this was an older app that had been released in Japan awhile ago, and they decided to release it in the US which explains the art style. There are are a few Voltage games that have been out in Japan, but have not been released in the States. It seems as though quite a bit of people have been complaining about the art style on Voltage's Facebook. I can understand why they don't like it as it does not look anything like the newer apps. It kinda reminds you of My Forged Wedding and Love Letter from Thief X before they were updated, but a little cruder. I personally don't mind it all.
The color scheme is very nice
I really enjoyed the relationship maps. I first came across these when I began watching Asian dramas, and I really love them. It's a great way to figure out the basics and it's pleasing to the eye.
The Guys: I thought it was amazing that Voltage released all five routes at the same time. This is the first time this has happened, and I think it's a wonderful idea. People don't have to wait for their favorite guy to be released at a later date. From Voltage's post on FB, it looks like there will be two more characters.I always love when Voltage gives a quick snapshot into the guys personalities. I think each guy is written well, and while they are all honorable and kind they don't feel like the same character. Voltage was able to create five distinct characters that felt very different from each other.
Routes I Want to Purchase: Oda Nobunaga, Uesugi Kenshin, Sanada Yuikmura, and Date Masamune
I hope you enjoyed my review! Voltage has been putting out some quality games, and I'm excited to see what they will release next.
