After School Affairs: Prologue Review

I hope everyone is having a good start to their year! I can't believe it's about to March. Time is really flying this year. I need to step my blogging game up lol I was excited to hear that Voltage had a new game releasing this month because it had been awhile since their last one. So here's my review of the latest otome game After School Affairs.

Your are a homeroom English teacher of an all boy's school where the students excel in sports, Kasuga High School. You learn that you will be moving into new employee housing and discover that you live with teachers from the nearby all girl's school Seika Ladies' Academy. The next day to your surprise you found out that your school will be closing and merging with Seika Ladies' Academy to form Seishun High School. There's one major rule: there can be no dating between students and staff.

Nintendo NY Grand Re-Opening

Hello! Yesterday I had the chance to visit Nintendo NY for their re-opening. Formerly known as Nintendo World. They were closed for a month for renovations and re-branded Nintendo NY. Their renaming makes me wonder if there will be other official Nintendo stores opening in the US! Anywho me and my friend Tiff had a chance to check it out.

So Tiff and I already planned on going to the grand re-opening regardless of whether or not I obtained my special edition. I'll take about my whole special edition fiasco at the end of this post. I will be upfront and say I am extremely grateful to have gotten because a lot of folks haven't been able to get one.

We got to the store around 9:30 and to our surprise the line was super long. I have a feeling that some people camped out overnight. It was super cold and we tried to dress accordingly. I even had a blanket big enough for us to share which we ended up doing later on. The blocks in that area of town are quite long. So we headed to the back of the line. I received an email from Best Buy's eBay letting me know that my item was ready for pickup. I had selected a Best Buy two subway stops away from Rockefeller Center. So I called to double check that it was for the right item and it was! So I left Tiff in line to hold our place and then went to Best Buy. I was SO happy when I got my hands on it. I will say the box was smaller than I expected lol The trip only took about 20 minutes total.
When I meet back up with Tiff in line we had moved a good bit. We figured why not just stay in line and see how it all played out. It was really cold outside but we were pretty prepared. The voice actor of Mario even came out to day hi to everyone. It was awesome that he came that far back in line. Tiff even got a high five from him!

I was able to snag this picture of him upstairs without standing in the long ass line to meet him. I think you needed to have a wrist band in order to participate in the meet and greet, but since the area was so open I figured I'd grab a pic.
Took these when we were finally by the store and thoroughly freezing our butts off

New York Comic Con 2015: Thursday and Friday

I hope ya'll had a nice holiday! I'm back with my second post for my time at NYCC. I hope you enjoy it :)

Thursday
I decided to wear Kagome the first day of the convention since I had already worn her once before at Waku Waku back in August. My commute was a little hectic coming in because of traffic in the George Washington bridge. That's okay, selfie time!
I got to the Javits Center at 11. Which wasn't too bad it was only about an 1 hour after the con opened. I met up with Rae on the walk over. She was killing the game in her Captain America hoodie. It's always such a blast geeking out with her.
The first thing we noticed was the food trucks right outside the Javits. This was the first time since I've been that they've done that. I don't know why they hadn't thought of it before. It really helped with grabbing food as you as you can in or came out.
Walking into NYCC is always so mind blowing because they really go all out. First Rae and I headed to the Artist's Alley to meet up with a few of her friends. Seth Meyer was actually there out in the open. I think he was doing some sort of social experiment and seeing how people would react to him just being there.
The whole NYC we wanted to try Cookie Cat because we love Steven Universe, but the tickets for the Fantasy Food truck would go SO fast we never got to. Tiff did get a recipe for it so that we can make it at home.

There was a remote controlled R2D2 running around and making sounds. Ugh, it was so cute! We rushed over, so Rae could meet one of her idols: the creator of Deadpool. He was really funny and charismtic! She was so adorable while she was meeting him.
We grabbed a corner of Artist Alley that wasn't crowded and took pics of my Kagome cosplay. For some reason I had a few people mistake me for Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon which was a little odd lol
